Current Projects include:
> Dove Coffee Lounge – open 10-12 Mon.-Fri (10-2 every Wednesday). Staffed by around 50 volunteers from the three churches.
> Christian Aid – representatives from the three churches work together throughout the year to raise awareness of Christian Aid events, appeals and wider issues.
> Freshstart – an Edinburgh project for the Homeless, which is supported by all three churches, with a group to co-ordinate responses to this project.
> Schools – The ministerial team supports the schools, both within the parish, and on the outskirts, which are within the remit of the United Reformed and Episcopal congregations. A partnership with one primary school has led to a school-to-school link in Ghana, through an existing partnership with the Presbyterian Church.
> Bridges magazine – bridging Church and Community. Launched in 2003, Bridges is produced three times a year (Advent/Easter/Summer) and distributed to most households in the Murrayfield Parish (around 3,500). An audit to consider the value of Bridges as a means of connecting the Churches with the local community was recently carried out, the outcome of which was very positive and encouraging.
Murrayfield Club. A club that meets weekly at Murrayfield Parish Church for people with Dementia. Supported by NHS Scotland. Please contact us for further information
